What is the CNW Certification?
Clean and Not Woke Certification is a way for readers to identify which books are overtly anti-communist in tenor. These books have been vetted for communist and marxist propaganda using one of the most rigorous, ancient, and sensitive anti-communist filters in the world: traditional Catholic moral guidelines.
While all anti-communists may not be traditional Catholic, the application of traditional Catholic moral standards to fiction certifies that it is free of compromises in regard to marxist influence. The Church once maintained the “Legion of Decency” as a safeguard against this very insidious enemy of communism in entertainment (both literature and film).
We hope the CNW certification will make it easier for conservative readers and parents to quickly identify moral reads without having to slog through junk to get there. This does not guarantee that the book is free of adult themes, evil people, or violence.
The standards of the CNW include: clean fiction free of a glorification of evil, gratuitous violence, impurity, homosexuality, abortion, blasphemy/foul language, intersectionality, critical race theory, political correctness, anti-Christianity, marxism, or communism.
How are they certified?
Submitted books will be provided to a panel of 10 traditional Catholic volunteers. The books are not being read for preference or for enjoyability, but exclusively for the above standard of cleanliness and non-woke material.
Once a traditional Catholic from the panel has read and vetted the book, any questionable items will be discussed by the panel and they will vote in favor of awarding the certification or not. A majority vote is required to be awarded certification.
What books are eligible?
Any author is welcome to submit their book for the CNW Certification. There is a reading fee of $25 per book that will be paid to the reader for their time. It does not guarantee the certification, only that the book will be read in the order that it was received.
How do we submit a book for the CNW Certification?
Submit a book for the CNW by emailing a request for submission to conservativesffwriter[email protected]. We will reach out to you with further instructions.
What happens after the book is certified?
All books which are awarded the CNW Certification will be listed by alphabetical author name on a standalone page on the SFFA website. You will be provided with the CNW Certification graphic to apply to your book cover and are encouraged to use it wherever your books are distributed.
